Mix studio for hire with or without engineer: Monitoring you can trust

CONTACT

Mix studio for hire:

monitoring you can trust

We know how hard it can be to nail that mix when you can only trust the acoustics of a room and the quality of the monitoring so far; that’s why we’ve established a world-class mix studio that you can hire for your project.

OUR GEAR

Your mixes are only as good as the decisions you make, which are in turn informed by what you hear. What you hear comes down to the room and the monitors. When you can implicitly trust what you’re hearing, mixing becomes a whole new experience. You can choose to use our Mac and Pro Tools HD system or you can bring your own computer and patch into our USB interface to access the monitoring and hardware. We have a well appointed variety of analog and digital processing (Equipment List).

our engineers

We’ve put together a list of Brisbane mix engineers and producers with levels of experience and pricing to suit your needs: Steve James, Doug Roberts, James Angus, Darek Mudge, Rangi Barnes, Cody McWaters, Steve Thornley, Jeff Lovejoy, Jarryd Shuker.

About the studio

Located in Brisbane at the Matthew Gray Mastering facility, the mix studio has been designed to have the most natural and balanced acoustics with full-range midfield and nearfield monitoring that you can trust. Supremely-accurate monitoring is the main focus and point of difference compared to any other mix facility in Queensland

Your mixes are only as good as the decisions you make, which are in turn informed by what you hear. What you hear comes down to the room and the monitors. When you can implicitly trust what you’re hearing, mixing becomes a whole new experience. No longer do you have to second-guess how to balance the low end or do endless referencing in the car, on headphones, or on the home hi-fi set up to check for outside translation; this speeds up the whole process and allows you to concentrate on the most important aspect of music … creating your art.

VOCAL RECORDING

We have a great selection of microphones to hire with the room, such as the vintage Neumann U87, AKG C414, Shure SM7B, Sennheiser MKH416 and a mix of solid state and tube mic pre-amps available. The ISO booth can also be used to record guitars and bass.

The mix studio also includes a vocal booth should you have the creative urge to put down some ideas or finalise your vocal takes.

Mix engineers

While the mix studio is available for you to hire (after a quick approval process), you may prefer to engage a more experienced mix engineer to work on your project and ensure a more professional result; to this end we’ve put together a list of Brisbane mix engineers and producers with levels of experience and pricing to suit your needs:

Steve James, Doug Roberts, James Angus, Darek Mudge, Rangi Barnes, Cody McWaters, Steve Thornley, Jeff Lovejoy, Jarryd Shuker.

Just tell us a bit about your project, your budget and genre of music and we can hook you up with a top-notch engineer that will be the right fit for you.
